Copper Islands

A Beautiful slab of American Walnut - the idea behind Copper Islands was generated based purely on the shape of the slab itself. The two Islands came to life as a way to create unity between all three pieces. The flow of copper highlights is continuous between the islands and tethers them together as one piece. Contrast between the smooth surface of the wood and the bark is further enhanced by the diffusing lights between the varying sheens.

Copper Islands is held in place with industrial looking heavy-duty steel bolts.

This piece weighs nearly 90lbs - 7 Feet in height, 3 feet off-set width, an over 3 inches in depth.
